Join our team of passionate individuals who strive to be one of the best game studios in the world. We are currently seeking experienced Web Dev Engineers who can contribute to our growth. As a fully remote studio with colleagues across the globe, we emphasise clear communication as much as our technical skills.

Companion Group is an AAA co-development gaming studio with a globally distributed and fully remote setup. It is renowned for its ability to overcome the most intricate challenges in multiplayer game development and developing reliable multi-player games. We have become the primary choice for game dev studios aspiring to elevate their latest multiplayer titles, enabling scalability supporting large numbers of players, maximising player density, and crafting immersive gameplay experiences. Our portfolio boasts groundbreaking games developed in collaboration with major studios worldwide.

About the Role

  • Create well-designed and tested code using best practices for web development, including for responsive design and mobile display
  • Incorporate data from back-end databases and services
  • Collaborate closely with other technical experts to ensure optimal network performance and seamless integration of multiplayer features. Work across the team to help provide a seamless web experience. Be at the forefront of our web presence and allow users a dynamic and immersive web experience.
  • Provide accurate development estimates and comprehensive reporting to support efficient team collaboration across web, backend, and game teams

Skills

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of coding processes, standards, and methodologies
  • Possess at least 5 years of professional web development experience, showcasing your expertise
  • Showcase your abilities in React, NextJS, TypeScript, MUI and cloud service providers with your successful project history. Ability to work with CI/CD pipelines, PRs, and Web APIs
  • Excel in teamwork within a collaborative development environment, contributing to the collective success.
  • Embrace a positive and proactive approach, fostering a supportive and inspiring work atmosphere
  • Exhibit a genuine passion for continuous learning and growth within a world-class web development team
  • Experience in implementing web development workflows and operations using a variety of tools, including Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in backend development, preferably with C# and ASP.Net Core.
  • Build sites emphasising for reliability, extensibility, site performance, and cost-effectiveness. Profile and optimise code when necessary
