Team Description
Bristol Formula Student AI (FSAI) is the University of Bristol's autonomous racing team, competing in the Formula Student AI competition. We design, build, and race fully autonomous vehicles, integrating advanced AI, robotics, and real-world engineering systems.

The Web Dev team maintains the public website and supports internal tools that help the team communicate, recruit, and showcase our work.
Role Description - Web Developer
You will take a leading role in maintaining and improving the website you are building right now. You will work closely with team leads to publish news, events, and recruitment updates while keeping the site fast and polished.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update website content (posts, events, team info, opportunities)
- Build new pages and components in Next.js and Tailwind CSS
- Improve performance, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness
- Collaborate with subteams to publish updates and media
- Keep the design consistent across the site

Qualifications
We are looking for motivated students who are eager to apply their skills to a real, user-facing product.
Essential
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Familiarity with React or Next.js
- Comfortable using Git for collaboration
- Strong attention to detail and design consistency
Applicants are not expected to meet every requirement. Strong motivation and willingness to learn are highly valued.
Desirable
- Experience with Tailwind CSS and responsive design
- Familiarity with Markdown content workflows
- Basic understanding of SEO and accessibility best practices
- Experience deploying or maintaining web apps
