Senior Software Engineer – Customer Technology
People trust Parkdean Resorts for their holidays, and the websites, booking journeys, and applications that make those experiences happen need to be built flawlessly. You’ll join the team shaping the technology that supports millions of bookings, searches, and confirmations—with your code having direct impact.
About the Role
Parkdean Resorts is the UK’s largest holiday park operator, with families relying on seamless digital experiences to plan their getaways. Your work in tech ensures every holiday booking works perfectly behind the scenes. We’re investing heavily in engineering excellence—standards, tooling, and the people who care about how software is built. Every line of code here is trusted by customers to deliver appointments and bookings without fail.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll join a product-focused squad alongside Test Engineers, Product managers, and Delivery teams. You’ll report to a Lead Software Engineer who sets the technical bar and collaborates closely to define and execute ideas.
This role is not corporate IT—it’s customer-facing platform engineering. You’ll focus on the applications and services that drive:
- Customer-facing websites and booking platforms.
- Integration with Salesforce and other CRM/CTM systems.
- Infrastructure and CI/CD tooling (owned by the Cloud & Platform team), so you can focus on what matters: writing code that works, scales, and ships.
Responsibilities
You will:
Build Mission-Critical Customer-Facing Features
- Lead development of features used by millions daily (bookings, searches, confirmations, emails).
- Own a sprint backlog from refinement to production, ensuring technical design is robust and clear.
- Write professional, scalable, and maintainable C#/.NET, JavaScript (Vue/React/Next.js), SQL Server, and Azure app service code.
- Ensure integrations with third-party systems (e.g. Salesforce, payment providers) are reliable and efficient.
Own Quality, Security, and Maintainability
- Deliver code that is readable, tested, secure, and production-ready.
- Plan and implement automated tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end). Avoid lazy shortcuts—aim for defensive testing to prevent regressions.
- Implement security best practices to mitigate risks in a highly available and trusted platform.
- Participate in oversight of incident handling: diagnose in production systems and assist in post-mortems focused on system safeguards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Contribute Beyond the Code
- Participate in onsite critical incident support, diagnosing application-level failures and providing resolution.
- Represent engineering in cross-domain discussions with Product, Testing, and Leadership.
