Web Developer (WordPress)

ProfileTree is an award-winning web design and digital marketing agency based in Belfast, helping our clients to generate leads and sales through structured digital strategy, sleek web design and engaging digital content. Due to continued growth, a number of exciting opportunities now exist to join our team as a Web Developer within our Web department.

You will be passionate about excellent website experience, customer service and digital services. You will be comfortable in all types of communication, including telephone calls, and you will love building relationships with clients and colleagues. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Project Owners and UI/UX Designers to deliver effective, user-focused web solutions
  • Develop, maintain and optimise websites using CMS platforms, including WordPress and Shopify
  • Build bespoke WordPress themes and plugins following best practice standards
  • Design and manage front-end responsive frameworks and overall website architecture
  • Develop and maintain back-end functionality, including database and server integration
  • Conduct thorough testing to ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
  • Perform technical audits and optimise websites for performance and reliability
  • Maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot existing websites and content issues
  • Monitor live website performance and provide ongoing technical support as required
  • Attend client meetings, providing technical insight, recommendations and solutions
  • Produce clear technical documentation and maintain accurate project records in project management systems
  • Liaise with internal teams and third-party suppliers to support smooth project delivery
  • Deliver web development training and mentoring sessions to clients
  • Support account growth by identifying new opportunities within existing client portfolios
  • Adhere to internal processes for time tracking, reporting and billing

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Passion for excellent customer service
  • Passion for digital and/or marketing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
