We're looking for a driven web developer who's passionate about changing the world through code.
At Humble, we build brilliant SaaS software that helps our clients — from schools to growing businesses — maximise their impact. As a SaaS Developer, you'll work across all three of our products (Bookings, Business, and Education), building new features and fixing bugs across both front-end and back-end.
The Role:
- 36 hours/week, with core hours 10am–2pm Mon–Fri (flexible outside of that)
- Hybrid — our Grimsby office + remote (we'd like you to work at the office at least 2 days per week)
- Reporting to our Directors
- Not customer-facing, though you may be asked to respond to support tickets from time to time.
What You'll Bring:
- Strong MySQL and database design knowledge
- Proficient in PHP and Symfony
- Comfortable with JavaScript/jQuery, CSS, and Symfony Encore
- Experience with Git
- API, Docker, and AWS experience a bonus
- Great communication, self-discipline, and a collaborative mindset

Our Stack:
- Symfony, Twig, JavaScript, Webpack Encore, AWS (Elastic Beanstalk, SES, RDS, CodePipeline, ElastiCache), BitBucket, Docker, plus integrations with Xero, Sage, Stripe, Unlayer and OpenAI.

Our Recruitment Process:
- Group Interview — If your application catches our eye, we'll invite you to a group interview alongside other candidates. It's a relaxed way for you to get a feel for the role, meet the team, and learn more about Humble — while giving us a chance to get to know you too.
- Test Project — Next, you'll complete a short technical test project relevant to the role, so we can see your skills in action. We don't expect it to take longer than 3 hours.
- Solo Interview — Once you've completed the test project successfully, we'll invite you to a shorter one-to-one interview. This is where we make sure the role — and Humble — is the right fit for you as an individual, not just on paper.
