Purpose of the Role
This role plays a pivotal part in delivering world-class digital experiences across McLaren Racing’s website and mobile app, supporting fans around the globe.
Working across Formula 1, IndyCar, WEC, Gaming and wider business areas, you will help shape a digital ecosystem that drives growth, engagement, monetisation and retention. You'll take ownership of the product roadmap and performance optimisation, ensuring platforms are stable, scalable and consistently high-performing.
We're looking for someone with hands-on experience using modern CMS platforms (Contentful or similar), alongside strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage GA4 data to generate actionable insights and make data-led decisions that improve product performance.
You will also contribute to race weekend delivery, helping bring real-time updates and content to millions of fans in a fast-paced, high-performance environment where digital is at the heart of the fan experience.
What You'll Do
- Own and manage the short-term digital product roadmap across the McLaren Racing website and app
- Deliver continuous platform improvements aligned to growth, engagement, monetisation and retention objectives
- Act as the day-to-day contact for digital agencies and platform suppliers
- Oversee performance and optimisation of CMS, video platforms, fan engagement tools, SSO, APIs and asset libraries
- Analyse user behaviour, performance metrics and conversion data to identify optimisation opportunities
- Translate data insights into actionable improvements across UX, content and functionality
- Ensure accurate analytics tracking, tagging and reporting aligned to business KPIs
- Support integration of partner requirements and commercial functionality across digital platforms
- Collaborate with digital, content, IT and commercial teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Contribute ideas to enhance fan experience and support content strategy and membership growth
- Maintain clear documentation of workflows, processes and product updates
- Deliver real-time race weekend coverage, including live updates, commentary and content across global series
- Operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with a focus on accuracy and detail

What You'll Bring
- Experience within digital product, platform operations or optimisation roles
- Strong experience working with a modern CMS such as Contentful
- Good understanding of website and mobile app ecosystems
- Experience working with digital agencies, developers and external suppliers
- Ability to interpret analytics and translate data into meaningful product improvements, including use of GA4
- Solid understanding of user experience principles, conversion optimisation and digital performance metrics
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Knowledge of API integrations, video platforms and engagement tools is desirable
- Interest in and understanding of Formula 1 or motorsport

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking. Here at McLaren, we offer hybrid working with 3 days a week based in the MTC.
Our state of the art, sustainable campus offers many facilities including a gym, restaurant and indoor and outdoor break-out areas, as well as direct access to park and common land. The MTC is connected to Woking mainline station via regular shuttle buses, from which London Waterloo is a 30 minute train ride.
