Company Description

Easthampstead Park Hotel is a beautifully restored Victorian mansion set within extensive Berkshire parkland in Wokingham. This Grade II listed property combines historic charm with modern amenities, including two contemporary restaurants, a stylish bar, and a variety of comfortable bedrooms. The hotel features state-of-the-art meeting and event spaces designed for weddings, conferences, and private celebrations. Easthampstead Park offers a peaceful, high-quality environment that attracts leisure guests, wedding parties, and corporate clients alike.

Role Description

The Wedding and Events Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Easthampstead Park in Wokingham. The person in this role will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of weddings and events from initial inquiry through to post-event follow-up, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all guests. The Wedding and Events Manager will handle bookings, maintain accurate event documentation, monitor budgets, and support revenue targets. This role also involves:

  • Leading and motivating an events team
  • Maintaining high service standards
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety and venue policies

Qualifications

  • Experience in wedding and event planning, coordination, and on-the-day management within hotels or venues.
  • Strong client relationship, communication, and negotiation skills, with a professional and empathetic approach.
  • Proven organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple events, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Team leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with catering, operations, and sales teams.
  • Commercial awareness, including understanding of event budgets, upselling opportunities, and revenue targets.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, particularly under pressure or during live events.
  • Comfortable using event management systems, calendars, and basic office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, documents).
  • Previous experience in hospitality, weddings, or events in a similar role; venue-based experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in line with event schedules.
  • Relevant training or qualifications in events, hospitality management, or a related field are an advantage.
