The Role Overview
Responsibilities
This Inclusion Centre role is based part-time, covering weekends and bank holidays (10:00am–2:00pm). The position is pressure-tested, so candidates must be quick learners with strong multicultural skills, high adaptability under stress, and a proactive attitude.
While local residency and a clean, valid driving licence are desirable, they are not mandatory.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting the smooth operation of all services (day-to-day workloads). -Manage Meals on Wheels concerns and escalations for safeguarding, ensuring timely follow-ups.
- Responsible for room preparations and setup, maintenance, and monitoring team schedules for KPI compliance.
- Independently administer a caseload of applications, meeting deadlines.
- Awareness and understanding of crucial legislation.

About Meals on Wheels, Concessionary Travel & Inclusion Centre Facilities
Meals on Wheels
- Deliver hot meals to vulnerable residents daily, with optional welfare checks during deliveries.
- Provides crucial client follow-ups to professionals, managing referrals and’enquiries to ensure seamless service provision.
Concessionary Travel Services
- Manage the adjudication of Blue Badge, Freedom Pass, and TaxiCard applications, aligning with deadlines and service regulations.
- Maintain caseloads on-target for KPIs, ensuring applicants meet regulatory benchmarks in a timely manner.
Inclusion Centre Facilities (Front-One Operations)
- Front-of-house: Customer engagement, management.
- Room/Pool Safety: Regular room/pool safety audits and reporting of risks/issues.
Both teams have been internationally recognised for their roles in previous crises, including outstanding contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
