We currently operate 9 homes across East and West Sussex and have 414 beds. Each registered home offers the highest standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours – day and night, for long and short-term stays.
Job Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at our specialist dementia and nursing home Eastridge Manor in Bolney, Nr Haywards Heath.
Hours
- 16 hours per week
- Saturday and Sunday 7am - 3pm
Role Purpose
Reporting into the Head Chef/Chef, the purpose of this role is to assist in maintaining a quality Kitchen and catering service for our residents.

Job Responsibilities
- To wash and dry all meal time crockery and cutlery using equipment and facilities provided.
- Cleaning of all food trays following use on their return to the kitchen.
- To wash and dry all bowls, trays, saucepans etc as used by the Head Chef/Chef promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
- Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately.
- Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking porridge and helping to prepare salads and desserts.
- Preparing breakfast
