Weekend Receptionist – Hastings | Temporary & Emergency Housing | SDR Living
Location: Clevedon Court, Hastings
Salary: £13.45 per hour (Reviewed Annually)
Hours: 14 hours per week (Saturday 14:00 -00:00 / Sunday 12:00 - 16:00)
Contract: Permanent
About SDR Living
SDR Living provides temporary and emergency accommodation in partnership with East Sussex local authorities. We support individuals and families experiencing homelessness, helping them move towards independent living.
We are looking for a reliable and confident weekend receptionist to join our team at Clevedon Court, Hastings.
This is a lone working position, where you will be the first point of contact for residents and visitors within a temporary and emergency housing setting. The role is ideal for someone who is calm under pressure, professional, and committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment independently.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide a professional and friendly reception service
- Act as the main point of contact as a weekend receptionist on site
- Maintain safety, security, and welfare standards
- Respond calmly to incidents and challenging behaviour
- Promote a respectful and supportive environment for residents
- Follow health & safety procedures and company policies
Requirements
- Experience in a weekend receptionist, customer service, or support role (desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently during weekend shifts
