Weekend Sales Assistant – Part-Time (8 Hours per Week)
Overview
Pay:
- 16–17 years old: £8.00 per hour
- 18+ years old: £12.71 per hour
Your local Dunelm store is looking for a Weekend Sales Assistant to support us over our busiest weekends (minimum 8 hours per week).
At Dunelm, our Sales Assistants are the heart of the team, playing a crucial role in customer experience. Our top priority is ensuring every customer leaves satisfied,ignonsidering our products and staff—so they come back again and again.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be trained across all customer-facing store duties, including:
- Tills:
- Processing purchases, returns, and order completion
- Ensuring fragile items are securely packed for safe delivery

Shop Floor:
- Assisting customers in finding products
- Providing personalized, memorable service to build customer loyalty

Hosting & Bespoke Services:
- Using iPad ordering systems for home delivery of products
- Orchestrating Made to Measure curtian and blind appointments, styling displays (e.g., bedding areas) to inspire customers and help them choose the right items

Stock & Delivery (Physical Role):
- Merchandising and maintaining product displays
- Updating price changes and recovering from busy days to keep the store tidy
- Receiving deliveries, checking stock control, and replenishing shop floors
- Note: Some physical lifting is required—this is not warehouse-based but a customer-facing role.
