Weekend Van Drivers required for ongoing ad hoc work based in Newton Abbot, South Devon.
This role is ideal for experienced Category B drivers looking for weekend work, additional income, or flexible driving shifts. You’ll be completing deliveries across South Devon while providing excellent customer service and maintaining high professional standards.
Work is available on a weekend basis with regular opportunities for reliable drivers.
Please note: This is not parcel delivery work.
Location
Newton Abbot, South Devon
Accessible from Torquay, Paignton, Totnes, Exeter, Plymouth, and surrounding areas.
Salary
£14.67 per hour PAYE Advance
Other PAYE models are available.
- Weekly pay every Friday
- Ad hoc weekend work
- Guaranteed 8 hours’ pay
- Typical shifts of 8 to 10 hours
- Early morning starts
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a 3.5 tonne Category B delivery van safely and professionally
- Complete deliveries throughout South Devon
- Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations
- Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects
- Follow transport legislation and health and safety procedures
- Communicate any delays or delivery issues promptly
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude when representing the business
- Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and efficiently

Qualifications
Essential
- Full UK Category B driving licence
- Previous experience as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi Drop Driver, or Category B Driver
- Good knowledge of safe driving practices
- Strong reliability and time management skills
- Availability to work weekends
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
Desirable
- Knowledge of South Devon delivery routes
- Previous logistics or distribution experience
Please note that previous van driving experience is required, as there is limited training available on site.
