The Opportunity

AGI Airlanco is seeking skilled welders to contribute to our Dust Filtration and Aeration product lines. This involves hands-on work in our manufacturing environment, requiring precision, attention to detail, and knowledge of welding techniques and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Core Tasks

  • Operate and maintain safety equipment while adhering to local safety standards. Wear appropriate PPE (safety shoes, goggles, protective hoods/lenses).
  • Weld parts in flat, vertical, or overhead positions, using steel alloys (including aluminum, stainless, galvanized). Adjust configurations by tack-welding, heat-bending, grinding, and bolting.
  • Monitor and balance heat input to prevent warping, expansion, or distortion.
  • Operate hand and power tools: Shielded metal arc (SMAW), gas metal arc (GMAW) welding, portable grinders, cutting equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and material data sheets to guide welding iterations.
  • Prepare materials (cleaning, positioning, aligning) using tools (straightedges, squares, calipers), ensuring proper fit before welding.
  • Finish welds by grinding/excess slag, arc-cutting, or using grinders/chippers.
  • Select and install welding consumables (filler rods, flux, electrodes, torches/tips) per material thickness.

Quality and Maintenance

  • Develop welding templates using mathematical blueprint calculations.
  • Cut/mark metal (plates, structural shapes) to specification using saws, shears, and guided torchwork.
  • Repair or reassemble defective products using cutting/re-forming tools.

Qualifications

RequiredPreferred
Valid Driver’s License1–2 years related welding/MIG experience
High School Diploma/GEDMicrosoft Office proficient
Basic computer literacy\
