Our partner, BAE Systems, are seeking experienced Welders to join their growing team in Glasgow on a 12-month contract, offering competitive rates for both locals and those willing to commute from further afield.
As part of a specialist team, you’ll be working on the latest generation of naval frigates, the Type 26.

What will I be doing?
BAE Systems are looking for a talented Welder to join their team and make your mark in both shop and ship environments.
- Welders are qualified to weld different materials ranging from carbon steel to Aluminium across all welding positions.
- This will include the use of automated/mechanised welding equipment to improve quality where possible.

Located in areas from on ship to fabrication shed to smaller areas such as the steel outfit ship. You will assist in the ships construction by welding smaller sub-assemblies & piece parts to larger tasks such as block link up butts and seams.
- You must have thorough comprehension of the SHE Processes and Policies.
- This includes the use of appropriate extraction & ventilation as well as PPE & RPE.
- After each job is complete, a thorough quality check is done to ensure the business requirements and high standards are met.
