Welder/Fabricator

Join a team where no two days are the same.

At IME Repair Services, we don't build the same products day in, day out. We solve engineering problems. From emergency vessel repairs and complex structural fabrications to specialist industrial projects, our work supports some of the UK's most critical marine, petrochemical and industrial operations. Every project presents a new challenge, giving our team the opportunity to apply their skills across a wide variety of technically demanding work.

Recently becoming part of the globally recognised Damen Shipyards Group, we're entering an exciting new chapter while continuing to build on the reputation that IME has earned over decades for quality, reliability and engineering excellence.

If you're an experienced welder looking for varied, rewarding work within a professional and supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

Based at our Southampton headquarters, you'll work both from our workshop and on customer sites across the UK, carrying out a diverse range of fabrication, repair and maintenance work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
