The welder’s role is welding both HVAC products and specialist ventilation system products for safety critical facilities. This role requires a combination of technical expertise & precision across various product types/materials. This role reports directly to production supervision & sits within the operational level of the business.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all duties in accordance with weekly plans.
- Perform welding tasks on both stainless steel & carbon steel HVAC products ranging from 1.5mm to 10mm.
- Complete general welding duties associated with all product types (Folded & Welded) in accordance with welding procedures.
- Complete weld repair activities in accordance with welding procedures.
- Understand & comply with associated welding standards.
- Assist & support sheet metal workers during tacking tasks during manufacture.
- Complete basic fabrication tasks to support manufacture.
- Comply in full with manufacturing SHEQ best practice/ behaviours and legislation.
- Support the manufacturing team in achieving deliverables.
Show your expertise
- Experienced qualified coded welder.
- Experience welding both stainless steel & carbon steels ranging from 1.5mm to 10mm.
- Experience with both Tig & Mag welding processes.
- Basic knowledge to interpret manufacturing drawings and engineering information.
- Basic fabrication knowledge to support manufacturing assembly.
- Basic knowledge in using a variety of power/hand tools.
- Overhead crane Experience (training will be provided).
- Self-motivated and capable of working on own initiative & with others safely & efficiently.
