About Us
Econ Engineering is the UK’s largest supplier of winter maintenance and highways vehicles. With 55 years of expertise, we are a leader in designing and manufacturing high-quality vehicles that keep roads safe throughout the winter months.
The Role
We are looking to recruit a skilled Welder to join our team of day welders at our Ripon Head Office. The successful candidate will work on a variety of components, primarily in mild steel, using MIG welding equipment. These components range from small piece parts to large hoppers and tipper bodies for our commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding a variety of mild steel components.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Plating components before final welding.
- Ensuring all work meets the required quality standards.
- Working efficiently to meet production targets.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience working with mild steel.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer

- Full-Time Hours – 39 hours per week:
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
- 1-hour lunch break each day
