Purpose of the Position
Process and fabricate raw materials to create and build bespoke parts/products from Aluminum and mild steel as directed. Managing all tasks during the fabrication process, from start to finish, through to completion in production.
Day-to-day Operations
- Machining fabrication materials and components.
- Cutting and welding with a variety of processes.
- Collaborate work with metal sheets and apply various insulation materials.
- Evaluate all engineering drawings and ensure implementation according to welding specifications.
- Analyse diagrams and specifications and cut all metal accordingly.
- Perform work with the help of various hand and power tools.
- Evaluate finished products and perform quality checks on products.
- Maintain a safe & clean workstation and perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.
- Adhering to all relevant health and safety standards and training protocols.
- Attending any relevant training sessions as directed by line manager.
- Other ad hoc duties as and when required and providing essential cover when other members of the team are on leave.

Qualifications
Essential
- 5 GCSEs (Grade C & above) or equivalent including Mathematics.
- Recognised certification in MIG or TIG welding.
Experience
Essential
- 4-5 years’ on-the-job experience, working within the same role or equivalent.
Specialist Skills / Attributes
Essential
- Solid fabrication background in Sheetmetal.
- Ability to work on their own, as well as part of a team.
- Helpful and approachable with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Problem solving | Critical thinking | Attention to detail.
- Knowledge of engineering.
- Ability to work with your hands.

- Have a current full driving licence.
- Must have full access to transport to, from and during work.
Location: Lakenheath factory (Suffolk)
Job Type: Full time (40 hours per week)
Benefits: 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) | Pension Scheme & Healthcare (after 3-month probation)
