We're recruiting on behalf of an innovative engineering and manufacturing business with a reputation for delivering high-quality bespoke equipment to customers across a range of specialist industries.

Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join a skilled workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing precision work and enjoys working on varied, bespoke engineering projects rather than repetitive production-line manufacturing.
The Role
Working within a modern manufacturing facility, you'll be responsible for the fabrication and welding of bespoke equipment and components to exacting quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Welding and fabricating bespoke equipment and components from engineering drawings.
- Producing high-quality work to project specifications and deadlines.
- Carrying out repairs and modifications to existing equipment.
- Supporting prototype builds and dry-fit assemblies.
- Maintaining high workshop standards, including housekeeping and safe working practices.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver complex engineering projects.

About You
We're looking for a motivated and skilled fabricator who enjoys solving engineering challenges and delivering quality workmanship.
You'll Ideally Have
- Experience in MIG, TIG and MMA welding.
- Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience fabricating precision-engineered components.
- Experience using cutting, drilling and plasma equipment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.

Desirable Skills
- Welding coding qualifications.
- NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) qualifications.
- Forklift licence.
- Marine engineering experience.
- Mechanical fitting experience.

- £15.50–£17.50 per hour depending on experience.
- 37.5-hour working week (core hours 7:00am–3:00pm).
