Fabricator Welder
Location: Kintore, Aberdeenshire
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Activus Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing client in Aberdeenshire for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join their workshop team.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a busy and growing organisation, working on a variety of structural and piping fabrication projects within a professional workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication and welding of structural steelwork and piping components
- Operating fabrication and welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Reading and interpreting engineering and manufacturing drawings
- Completing manufacturing documentation and timesheets accurately
- Carrying out cutting and heating activities using plasma and oxy-acetylene equipment
- Assisting with maintenance and repair work on workshop equipment when required
- Supporting loading and unloading operations
- Assisting with stores and stock control activities as required
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Following all company quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures

Requirements:
- Time-served apprenticeship in Fabrication, Welding, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification
- Proven fabrication and welding experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong experience with MIG, TIG, and Flux Core welding processes
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a workshop environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship

Desirable:
- Forklift certification
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience working within a fast-paced engineering or manufacturing environment

- Overtime available but not guaranteed
