Skilled Welder Fabricator

Pro-Found Recruitment are seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our client’s team in Doncaster, DN12.

About the Role

A transformative opportunity exists for a confident and capable Welder Fabricator to ensure high-quality fabrication, welding, and assembly to specification, producing products suitable for radiography under EN1090 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform close-tolerance MIG/TIG welding adhering to specifications and technical drawings.
  • Prepare, machine and fit materials prior to welding.
  • Assemble components and fabricate to high standards, maintaining strict tolerances.
  • MIG/TIG pipework welding (prefergeq 3+ years of experience).
  • Ensure traceability and quality of welds and materials throughout production.
  • Maintain product quality standards to pass radiography inspections.
  • Operate with efficiency to uphold timely delivery schedules.
  • Actively contribute to business culture and suggest process improvements.
  • Comply with all quality procedures, health and safety policies, and internal guidelines.
  • Demonstrates flexibility to fulfil additional duties for operational efficiency.
  • Must demonstrate strong overhead crane and forklift experience (preferred).

Requirements

  • Essential:
    • Proven fabrication experience (NVQ Level 2/3 preferred).
    • Must be able to read and fabricate from drawings.
    • MIG welding qualification.
  • Preferred:
    • TIG welding qualification.
    • Previous experience with recognised weld coding schemes.
  • Experience in the following (all preferred):
    • 1 year minimum with overhead crane operation.
    • 1 year minimum with forklift usage.
    • Fabrication within a strictly quality-controlled environment.

Location & Areas of Responsibility

  • Doncaster (DN12)
  • UK-based employer.
  • Up to 40 hours per week in shifts:
    • 6am – 2.30pm (Mon–Thu)
    • 6am – 1.30pm (Fri)

Contract type:

  • Temporary → Permanent after 12 weeks probation via Pro-Found.

Salary & Total Reward

  • £16.00 per hour.
  • Full-time permanent securing opportunity post-provision period.
