Overview
We are seeking experienced Class 1 Welders qualified to BS EN ISO 9606-1:2017 to join our Water manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, fabrication activities, machine set-up and operation, while ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MAG welding of mild steel components to approved procedures and quality standards.
- Perform fabrication and assembly activities in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery as required.
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated assemblies to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and productivity always.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors, and quality personnel to achieve production targets.
Essential Requirements
- Current BS EN ISO 9606-1:2017 Class 1 welding qualification.
- Proven experience in MAG welding of mild steel within a fabrication, pressure vessel, or pipe welding environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.

Desirable Requirements
- Experience of working with a variety of fabrication and welding equipment.
- Knowledge of quality inspection standards and welding documentation.
- TIG welding experience on stainless steel is highly desirable and will attract a higher rate of pay.
