Welder
Shop Floor Assembly Technician
What You Will Do
- Assemble, build, and test products or components, with or without reference to drawings
- Execute the shop floor build schedule, ensuring prompt and productive completion
- Operate all manual equipment required for the role within the specified environment
- Build products and parts to the required quality standards, identifying and implementing corrections for any variances
- Take responsibility for KanBan replenishment of manufactured and purchased components (80s) in your assigned cell
- Control and assist with the movement of materials within your area, ensuring all production is triggered by KanBan notifications or work orders
- Follow instructions from senior colleagues, including:
- Cell Leader
- Assembly Manager
- Industrial Engineer
- Planner
- Proactively highlight process issues and collaborate with stakeholders to implement both short- and long-term solutions for operational efficiency
- Maintain and obtain necessary certifications as required (e.g., welding, forklift, crane operation, verification tasks)
- Continuously identify improvement opportunities; seek ways to enhance productivity and efficiency in your cell
- Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards
- Work collaboratively as part of a team, fostering open communication across all workflows
- Engage with ITW toolbox initiatives, projects, or process improvements with adaptability
- Comply with all Company policies, including but not limited to:
- Health and Safety
- Ethics
- Conduct
- Contract of Employment
- May undertake additional relevant duties as necessary within the role’s scope
