About The Team

Our international and agile team is searching for a motivated person to support in the position as Welder (f/m/d) in the UK. This is a rare opportunity to be involved in building the capability to launch satellites into orbit form the UK. You will be involved in the installation, commissioning and operation of systems at our Launch site on the Shetland Islands, with the opportunity to travel to our other sites across Europe should the need arise. Your Tasks

  • Multilayer TIG and WIG/GTAW welding
  • Circumferential welding of thin metal, copper, and high-alloy steel
  • Welding of high pressure pipes up to 300 bar
  • Preparation of components (weld preparation)
  • Production of prototypes
  • Carry out repair welding
  • Set up welding equipment and check the welding process

Your Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship as a welder, industrial mechanic or a comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in TIG and MIG welding, especially in TIG welding of non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminium)
  • Welding certificate ISO 9606-1 141 T BW FM5 S s7.5 D50 H-L045 ss gb or UK equivalent desirable
  • Experience in operating metalworking machines and equipment
  • Apprenticeship as a welder is an advantage
  • Crane license and forklift license are desirable
  • Fluent English oral and written (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
  • Independent and structured way of working
  • Experience on UK construction sites is desirable
