Welder

Schools Fabrication Technician

What You Will Do

  • Assemble, build, and test any product or component, both with and without a drawing
  • Execute the shop floor build schedule promptly and efficiently
  • Operate all manual equipment required for your tasks within the set environment
  • Build products and parts to required standards, identifying quality variances and ensuring corrections are made
  • Take responsibility for managing KanBan parts (80s) within your cell, replenishing as needed following the material KanBan process
  • Control and assist with material movements within your area/cell
  • Ensure nothing is made without a KanBan or works order trigger
  • Follow instructions from the Cell Leader, Assembly Manager, Industrial Engineer, or Planner
  • Highlight problems and solutions in collaboration with necessary teams for short-term fixes and long-term operational improvements
  • Maintain required certifications (e.g., welding, forklift truck operation, crane use, verification tasks)
  • Continuously identify productivity and operational improvements
  • Maintain rigorous Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, adhering to all policies and best practices
  • Work effectively as part of a team, fostering open collaboration across all roles
  • Participate in ITW Toolbox initiatives, projects, and improvement tasks with flexibility and adaptability
  • Comply with all Company policies (Health and Safety, Ethics, Conduct, Contract of Employment)
  • Perform any additional duties relevant to the role and within your skills/experience
