Responsible to: Production Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
- To fabricate and assemble metal products, develop layouts and plans sequence of operation
- To be competent reading engineering drawings
- To set up and operate fabricating machines
- Cutting, shaping and bending Carbon/Stainless Steel
- Ensure that the company’s health and safety measures are adhered to
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained within the work area
- Minimise the wastage of materials and consumables
- Must be qualified and experienced in MIG welding techniques
- Work under own initiative to deliver the products on time first time
- To be familiar with welding symbols
- To be able to weld carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel
- Need to be able to pass 9606 welder approval

Skills/Qualifications
- Proven background in Fabrication, preferably with a qualification or a recognised apprenticeship.
- Have a knowledge and relevant experience of working in the engineering and manufacturing sector (essential).
- Suitable candidate will be enthusiastic and willing to take on additional roles in the company.
- Be flexible and work overtime if needed.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision towards achieving strict deadlines

Benefits
- Competitive salary and overtime paid at 1.5 times hourly rate.

- The role will be 37 hours per week with overtime as an option.
- Mon – Thurs 06:00 - 14:30pm
- Fri – 06:00 - 11:00
- Personal Protective Equipment will be provided, such as Steel-toe capped boots, ear defenders, safety glasses and gloves.
