We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Fabrication & Welding Instructor to join our Engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced industry professional to use their practical expertise to support and develop apprentices and learners pursuing careers in engineering and manufacturing.
No teaching qualification? No problem. Full teacher training and support will be provided for the successful candidate.
About the Role
As a Fabrication & Welding Instructor, you will deliver both practical workshop-based training and classroom sessions to engineering apprentices and learners from a range of backgrounds and experience levels.
You will play a key role in developing learners' technical skills, industry knowledge, and safe working practices, helping them progress towards successful careers within the engineering sector.
Training delivery will focus on welding and fabrication techniques, engineering principles, and industry best practice.

Essential Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Welding, Fabrication, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Significant industry experience in:
- MIG Welding
- TIG Welding
- MMA (Manual Metal Arc) Welding
- Fabrication and assembly
- Sheet metal work
- Strong knowledge of engineering workshop practices and health & safety requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for developing and supporting learners.
Desirable
- Previous experience of coaching, mentoring, training, or supervising apprentices or junior staff.
- Teaching or assessor qualifications (although these are not essential as training will be provided).
