Who we are looking for:
Unistrut is seeking an experienced Welding Operative to join our production team in our ladder fittings area.
What you’ll do:
- Producing parts to drawings
- Set and operate pierce, crop, and curving machines
- Use your experience to apply good quality welds to fittings
- Use measuring equipment to make quality components
- Ensures departmental and all company procedures are followed
- Responsible for ensuring recycling is carried out to the agreed standard
- Work to Health and Safety within your work area.
- Involvement in continuous improvement processes and driving through improvements in all aspects of the role.
- Ensuring that good levels of 5S are maintained on all machines, areas, and tooling
- Performs Other Duties as Assigned.

What you bring:
- Experience of fabrication and specifically MIG welding
- Ability to work as an individual or as part of a team
- A positive attitude
- Able to work as part of a team and as an individual
- Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards
- Ability to comply with and promote Atkore’s ATIRE and SQDC values
What you will strive to accomplish in this role:
- S - Zero Harm to yourself or your colleagues
- Q – Zero defective parts produced
- D - Adherence to manufacturing schedule
- C - Zero downtime for machines and minimized scrap parts
Hours of work:
39 hours per week, working a rotating shift pattern:
- Week 1: Monday - Thursday 6am - 2pm & Friday 6am - 1pm
- Week 2: Monday - Thursday 2pm - 10pm & Friday 1pm - 8pm
Salary:
£12.90 plus 22% shift allowance for rotating shifts
