As the Welding Process Engineer, you’ll develop advanced welding processes essential for our next-generation products, combining technical expertise with problem-solving skills to deliver high performance.

What You’ll Do
Welcome into a collaborative engineering culture that values curiosity and innovation. Focusing on electrification and Modern Luxury, your work will connect you with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable impact.
- Develop and optimise welding processes across battery, electric drive units (EDU), and sub-assembly manufacturing, ensuring quality and repeatability.
- Lead root cause analysis to resolve welding-related issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain welding standards, procedures, and validation plans to streamline new product introduction and production success.
- Support weld inspection strategies, including both destructive and non-destructive testing, to ensure compliance and product integrity.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to deliver robust, scalable manufacturing solutions.

Requirements
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a proven track record of technical acumen, problem-solving, and adaptability, paired with the following:
- Rigorous expertise in welding processes such as MIG, TIG, resistance spot welding, and laser welding within a manufacturing context.
- Familiarity with automated and robotic welding systems, including an understanding of welding metallurgy, defects, and inspection methods.
- Proficiency applying quality tools and standards, including PFMEA, control plans, and adherence to ISO or industry compliance frameworks.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings, Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and CAD data to support ongoing process development and validation.
- A degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a relevant discipline; professional welding qualifications are highly advantageous.
