Position: Welfare Assistant

Salary: £24,479 – £26,000
Hours: Full Time – 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Contract: Permanent
Reporting To: Welfare Supervisor

The Role
Based in Bolton, this position reports to the Welfare Supervisor. Your primary responsibility is assisting the Welfare Supervisor with the day-to-day operations of the department. The Welfare Supervisor will oversee most of your workload as your key contact.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure incoming post is timely opened, categorised, and responded to per company guidelines
- Assist in case management for vulnerable customers
- Handle welfare-related incoming/outgoing calls
- Support affordability assessments for vulnerable and potentially vulnerable customers
- Assist in monitoring/external debt advice referrals
- Manage any ad hoc tasks as necessary

✔ Excellent verbal & written communication ✔ Fast & accurate typing skills ✔ Self-motivated, able to work under pressure in challenging situations ✔ Strong attention to detail with trend-spotting ability ✔ Strong work knowledge of Microsoft Office 2000+, with emphasis on Word, Outlook & Excel
