We’re now recruiting a passionate, warm, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant at Greenholme House Care Home in Burley-in-Wharfedale.
About the Role
As a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your core responsibility will be collaborating closely with the Wellbeing Coordinator to design and deliver a varied programme of activities that engage and stimulate residents’ physical, cognitive, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Providing a safe and stimulating environment that promotes residents’ holistic wellness.
- Contributing to the professional appearance and high standards of the care home.
- Reporting any changes in residents’ physical or emotional health to the Wellbeing Coordinator, Home Manager, and care team.
- Assisting with ordering and organising supplies for upcoming activities.
- Building local community connections (e.g., schools, cultural or spiritual groups, museums, libraries) to facilitate intergenerational opportunities and wider engagement.
About You

We’re Looking for an Ideal Candidate Who:
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understands the fundamental role of interaction in encouraging overall well-being.
- Approaches older adults with a positive and empathetic mindset, and is committed to fostering meaningful, stimulating activities.
- Has prior experience (as verified by Piercing Dementia care) working with older people in residential nursing or dementia care environments.
