We are now seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator at Clare Court Care Home in Birmingham.


About The Role

Your primary focus will be to plan, deliver, and evaluate a diverse range of activities designed to enhance the physical, emotional, social, and psychological well-being of residents. This role also embodies Avery’s commitment to dignity, independence, choice, and fulfilment for every resident, ensuring care centred around their individual needs and life stories.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing life story profiles by engaging with residents (and their families) to personalise care, focusing on preferences, histories, and meaningful connections.
  • Crafting a monthly activity and wellbeing plan (submitted to the Home Manager) and a detailed weekly overview to guide resident engagement initiatives.
  • Organising and facilitating engaging groups, events, and outings, actively encouraging collaboration with staff, families, and visitors.
  • Upholding raised standards for safety and professionalism within the home environment.
  • Supporting raising the profile and reputation of Clare Court Care Home through positive representation.

Responsibilities

To excel in this role, you must exhibit our core values—caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability. Specifically, the role requires:

  • Prior working experience in residential nursing or dementia care with older adults.
  • Demonstrated experience organising activities and events.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to connect with residents, staff, and families.
  • A genuine passion for older people, paired with an ability to plan meaningful, stimulating, and diverse social occasions.
