Wellbeing Assistant

Wellbeing Assistant – Horsted Keynes (19 hrs/week)

For almost 70 years, Abbeyfield Living Society has been a leading provider of housing and care for older people across England. Our work is guided by our five core values: Care, Compassion, Community, Integrity and Excellence.

We are now seeking a Wellbeing Assistant to join our team at Horsted Keynes.


Role Summary

  • Location: Birch Grove Road, Horsted Keynes, West Sussex, RH17 7BS
  • Hours: 19 hours per week (9am to 6pm, including every 3rd weekend)
  • Pay Rate: £13.61 per hour to £14.03 per hour
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Prioritise residents’ welfare by ensuring safety via regular site checks, security monitoring, and asset maintenance.
    • Be the first point of contact in emergencies, responding immediately to warden alarm calls.
    • Carry out domestic portage, scheduled cleaning and laundry, and waste management.
    • Address emergency repairs as they arise.

About the Role

Your role is crucial in maintaining a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for our residents. You’ll work across various functions, involving both operational and emergency duties. Abbeyfield’s teachnology and empowering values mean you’ll also have regular IT tasks.

Essential Requirements
