Elizabeth School of London works in partnership with Bath Spa University, Canterbury Christ Church University, St Mary’s University, Newcastle College Group, and the University of Bolton.


About the Role

The Elizabeth School of London is seeking a Wellbeing Officer to join our London campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our students throughout their academic journey.

As our Wellbeing Officer, your duties will include:

  • Conducting well-being meetings with students to discuss their problems.

  • Analysing and identifying wellbeing cases, then sharing reports with the Wellbeing Manager.

  • Providing guidance, advice, and information related to student wellbeing and pastoral care, including:

    • Supporting students experiencing emotional or practical difficulties affecting their learning.
    • Managing a caseload of student wellbeing matters, including:

- Reviewing support needs.
- Logging student outcomes.
- Communicating with **tutors** and other central services.
  • Assisting the Wellbeing Manager in delivering:
    • Workshops
    • Webinars
    • Awareness-raising events
  • Collaborating and communicating with teams across the University to:
    • Establish productive relationships.
    • Support service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Planning and organising your workload.
  • Contributing to longer-term wellbeing plans/programmes.

Requirements

Essential:

  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Psychology, Education, or related subjects.
  • Willingness to train in Mental Health First Aid.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Collaboration skills and ability to work with others.
  • Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement.
  • Sensitivity and empathy towards students, colleagues, and staff.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, discretion, and professional conduct.

Desirable:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology or Mental Health qualification.
  • Experience in producing and managing timetables in an educational context.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Evidence of working with a diverse range of students.
  • Experience in risk assessments and crisis management.
