Wellbeing Services Support Worker – Fixed-Term Position (31/03/2027)
Location & Contract Details
- Primary location: Murray’s Initiative Head Office, North Claremont Street, Glasgow
- Travel: Required throughout Glasgow City for service delivery
- Contract: Part-time (21 hrs/week, 3 days including 1 Saturday/month)
- Ideal working pattern:
- Tuesday: 9am – 5pm
- Thursday: 1pm – 9pm
- Friday: 10am – 6pm
- Closing date: Tuesday 14th July 2026 (5pm)
- Fixed-term until: 31st March 2027
Salary: £24,479 per annum (pro rata)
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and compassionate female only (exempt under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010) candidate to undertake the critical role of Wellbeing Services Support Worker. Within Murray’s Initiative’s focal support for female survivors of gender-based violence, the role will harness a trauma-informed, person-centred approach to deliver confidential support, harm-reduction interventions and recovery-focused initiatives.
This fixed-term position operates under flexible working policies and proactive dedication to employee wellbeing, with arrangements considered in respect of potential external commitments.

Murray’s has six days per week support locations serving Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire, and East Renfrewshire.
About The Role
Title: Wellbeing Services Support Worker Reports to: Service Manager – Wellbeing
Purpose:
This position is crafted to deliver tailored one-on-one interventions to female survivors of gender-based violence at heightened risk of substance use, homelessness, social isolation or poverty. The role is focused on enhancing their health and social wellbeing, promoting trauma-informed recovery journeys, and facilitating coping-skills development.
Key interaction areas include:
- Client recovery
- Conflict resolution
- Coordination of peer, therapeutic and informal support approaches
Key Responsibilities:

Core Support Deliverables:
- Execute outcome-focused, 1:1 support interventions for marginalised women
- Assist Service Manager - Wellbeing in designing group work programmes, and consultations
- Utilise Outcome Star for structured clinical caseload management
- Develop tailored, person-centred support plans, documenting progress and recovery goals

Client Management:
- Track health and social outcomes, reducing social exclusion
- Support benefits, housing, health and employability engagement

Relationship Building:
- Foster collaboration with cross-sector partners
- Act on transparent client co-design for service improvement

Compliance:
- Engage PVG Scheme membership
- Maintain strict adherence to duty of confidentiality and BSO oPinion (Proven process)
Additional Calls:
- Any work requested by the Service Manager – Wellbeing
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Ethos Alignment: Committment to self-directed, motivational working grounded in harm reduction and social-inclusion growth
- Desire to enhance resilience and skills within intimation support environments
Preferred Qualifications & Background:

- SVQ 2 Social Services and Healthcare
- HNC in Social Care during post-school lifelong education
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and harm reduction in substance use awareness (e.g., COSCA)
