Welsh Speaking HR Administrator - Temp until 2027

HR Administrator (Employee Relations) (Fixed-Term until March 2027)

A well-established public sector organisation is looking for a proactive and organised HR Administrator to join their Employee Relations team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced HR function within a supportive environment.

Your New Role

As an HR Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of efficient HR services across the organisation. Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries, you will provide comprehensive administrative support across a wide range of HR and Employee Relations activities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR queries, ensuring timely and professional responses
  • Provide administrative support across Employee Relations processes and HR workflows
  • Support recruitment activity, including:
    • Advertising roles
    • Coordinating applications
    • Liaising with candidates and hiring managers
  • Manage pre-employment checks and onboarding administration for new starters
  • Maintain and update HR systems and employee records with accuracy and compliance
  • Assist in the preparation of employment contracts and HR correspondence
  • Calculate and manage annual leave entitlements, including pro rata adjustments
  • Support internal HR processes such as:
    • Recognition schemes
    • Secondary employment requests
  • Manage document retention, including archiving and secure disposal
  • Coordinate internal communications relating to staffing updates
  • Provide general administrative support, including:
    • Minute-taking
    • Filing
    • Document management
  • Support wider HR projects and business continuity activities

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in an administrative or HR support role (desirable)
  • Fluent Welsh language skills (essential)
