Uncapped, tiered commission
Gala Technology is looking for an ambitious Business Development Executive to help us grow the reach of our award-winning payment technology.
This is not a scripted telesales position. You will work consultatively with businesses, understand how they currently take payments and demonstrate how Gala Technology and SOTpay can improve their customer experience, security and commercial performance.
The role
You will:
- Build and manage your own pipeline of prospective customers
- Generate opportunities through telephone, email, LinkedIn, networking and face-to-face visits
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations via Microsoft Teams, Zoom and in person
- Identify customer challenges and recommend appropriate payment solutions
- Manage opportunities from initial conversation through to signed agreement
- Develop relationships with decision-makers, including senior and C-level executives
- Attend relevant trade shows and networking events
- Support new customers as they move through the onboarding process
- Work closely with our sales, marketing, technical and onboarding teams

Who we’re looking for
You will be confident, commercially aware and comfortable starting conversations with new businesses.
You should have:
- Strong telephone, presentation and communication skills
- The confidence to speak with senior decision-makers
- A proactive and determined approach to business development
- The ability to build trusted, long-term customer relationships
- High levels of energy, enthusiasm and self-motivation
- A willingness to learn and become an expert in payment technology
- The discipline to manage a pipeline and consistently work towards sales targets

Previous B2B sales experience would be advantageous, although product and industry training will be provided.
