Expert Clinical Reviewer – Full-Time Remote Role

About the Role

Expert MD supports healthcare organizations, legal teams, and insurance providers by delivering high-quality medicolegal and clinical expertise. Our team consists of experienced medical professionals who specialise in case review, documentation, and evidence-informed expert opinions. We uphold the principles of accuracy, integrity, and clear communication, seeking candidates who share our dedication to evidence-based practice and professional ethics.

This full-time remote position is based within our expert medicolegal and clinical team. Roles involve:

  • Reviewing medical records and clinical documentation
  • Preparing clear, structured, and objective reports
  • Supporting the formulation of medicolegal opinions based on evidence and standards of care
  • Collaborating with clinical and legal stakeholders
  • Participating in case discussions to ensure compliance
  • Contributing to process improvements, including adherence to current clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with data protection standards

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret medical records, clinical documentation, and diagnostic reports with meticulous attention to detail
  • Compile concise, professional, and legally sound reports for review by multidisciplinary teams
  • Collaborate with nurses, doctors, legal professionals, and other experts to support case resolution
  • Stay current with clinical guidelines, regulatory standards, and advancements in evidence-based medicine
  • Where applicable, assist in expert witness roles for medicolegal cases
  • Uphold strict data security protocols in a remote work environment
  • Actively contribute to process optimisation, ensuring transparent and ethical documentation

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Clinical professional qualifications:
    • Medical degree (MBBS/MBChB or equivalent), DO, NP (Nurse Practitioner), PA (Physician Assistant), or another relevant healthcare certification
    • Solid experience in direct patient care, with capability of navigating complex clinical scenarios
  • Documentation & Reporting Skills:
    • Proven experience interpreting medical records and ensuring accuracy in review
    • Ability to produce clear, structured, and factually objective reports for legal and professional audiences
  • Medicolegal & Ethical Awareness:
    • Familiarity with medicolegal principles, standards of care, and evidence-based practice
    • Preferred: Prior experience as an expert witness or in case review
  • Remote Collaboration:
    • Competent use of digital tools and secure platforms for remote work
    • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Team & Confidentiality Compliance:
    • Excellent independent working and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
    • Strict adherence to confidentiality policies when handling sensitive medical and legal information
  • Commitment to CPD: Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and stay well-informed regarding new regulations and guidelines.
