Overview
The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is seeking to appoint a Youth Worker at this exciting time of growth and flourishing ministry across Stretton Parish.
We are a welcoming Parish and are beginning to see our young people grow in their faith and encounter Jesus. We are also beginning to reach out into the community attracting young people to activities and events.
We are looking for someone to lead and develop the youth ministry in a way that helps young people find and follow Jesus amid the realities of 21st-century life, shape and deliver vibrant, prayerful, and mission-minded youth work, and lead, disciple and nurture the spiritual, emotional and social development of young people (11-18), helping them to grow in their Christian faith and integrating them into the life of the wider Parish.
We are seeking a youth worker with a heart for young people, someone who loves being with young people, builds genuine relationships, and walks alongside them as they grow in their faith. There is a nurturing aspect to this role, as you support our current youth lifegroup and young people, but also an outward-facing and pioneering role, as we seek new ways to Make Jesus Known in this community.
If this is you, we would love to hear from you.
We look forward to welcoming someone who supports the mission and life of the Parish and who models its ethos and Christian values.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
