Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre

Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. Only 14 miles from London, Bombardier’s Biggin Hill Service Centre is ideally located to support operators in the UK region and beyond.

Contributions to the Team

  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform maintenance on aircraft components including but not limited to wheel assemblies, batteries, and structures.
  • Perform maintenance repair and overhaul on component tasks as per supplied documents, manuals, work instructions, and any other regulatory instructions.
  • Be able to be trained, train, coach, and support other employees.
  • Perform complete end-to-end component MRO assignments across various workshops as required.
  • Perform basic and complex repairs on aircraft components.
  • Know, and practice, human factors, human performance, and limitations & know EWIS and CDCCL when relevant.
  • Raise a Form 1 and confirm the Airworthiness of Serviceable components.
  • Work as part of a team across different shift patterns to carry out essential MRO tasks and determine that relevant tasks or inspections have been carried out to the required standard.
  • Review, recommend, and update component MRO tasks that are performed by him-/herself or under supervision for which he/she is trained and authorised.
  • Remain current with MRO industry best practices.

How to Thrive in this Role

  • You have UK CAA & EASA Part 145 MRO experience & have a sound technical understanding of aircraft wheels and brakes.
  • Have been involved in at least six months of relevant aircraft/component maintenance experience in any consecutive two-year period.
  • Be current on all training requirements (recurrent/continuation training).
  • Can interpret and work with engineering drawings and are able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual tasks and/or aircraft status.
  • Be highly proficient in using standard tools, special tools, and operating ground support equipment.
  • Can raise Service Orders & have experience using SAP or a similar Enterprise Resource Planning system.
