SDUK's brands include the Nation’s favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients, and dairy-free products.
We are currently hiring multiple Bagging Whey Operator positions to work within the functional ingredients section, working to ensure the bagging and storage of whey products, loading and unloading of deliveries.
The roles will have mixed responsibilities, including manually moving bags of product (25kg and 1Tonne), carrying out documentation and administration tasks, ensuring the working environment is safe and clean by following SOPs, and supporting with the collection of samples to and from the on-site lab.
These roles are 6-month FTC positions
Shift pattern: 3-on/3-off, days only, 4pm-12am (28 hours a week)
YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…
- Understanding and observing H&S rules, complying with company policy and procedures, and promoting a safe working environment
- Preparing, developing, and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Carrying out pre-check, set-up, and start-up procedures for various pieces of equipment in the plant, recording/monitoring and controlling throughput and quality
- Ensuring all areas are clean and inspected ahead of the next production run, with relevant records being maintained and communicating across teams at all levels
- Ensuring quality checks are carried out as highlighted by HACCP
- Carrying out problem diagnosis on the plant, communicating with engineering when required

YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE…
- Experienced using computer systems, spreadsheets, and the use of databases
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of manual handling and FLT requirements
- Able to understand and follow instructions and H&S standards and procedures
- A strong communicator with colleagues at all levels
- Methodical in your approach to problem solving and able to address issues to ensure the continued quality of production
- Able to demonstrate basic food hygiene understanding
