WHS Remediation Site Manager

Role: Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Due Diligence and Remediation Team Location: Amazon UK Services Ltd.

About the Role

As the WHS Remediation Site Manager, you will play a critical role in protecting communities and the environment by managing contaminated sites across the globe. This position involves coordinating with internal and external teams—including design, construction, and operations—to deliver compliant, safe site remediation and asset stewardship.

Core functions include overseeing site remediation programs, ensuring compliance with environmental controls, inspecting construction activities, and mitigating risk across all phases of site development.

This role demands strong stakeholder management, technical expertise in contaminated site remediation, and hands-on experience in large-scale construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

Program Delivery & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Develop integrated contaminant management programs across multiple stakeholder teams, ensuring safe and compliant operations per regulatory and internal guidelines.
  • Manage contaminated sites post-due diligence, ensuring all approval conditions (e.g., engineering controls, use restrictions, reporting) are adhered to.
  • Partner with internal Amazon teams and external agencies (regulators, consultants, contractors, property owners) to drive remediation objectives.

Design & Compliance Oversight

  • Provide technical guidelines and review of engineering control designs (prepared by external vendors/consultants).
  • Validate Material Management Plans (MMPs) and Site Management Plans (SMPs) for compliance with Amazon’s requirements.
  • Review contract tender packages and vendor responses to assess inclusion of design and health & safety requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
