About the Finishing Department
The finishing department is a key section of our production facility ensuring that our customers' campaigns and event products arrive finished, trimmed, and able to be installed or used correctly. You will be responsible for finishing and collating printed or supplied products according to job bag and campaign specifications. You will be working as part of a finishing team that works across multiple material types, large and small format items, 3D structures, using a variety of standard finishing machinery.

You will work closely with account and production teams to ensure all projects are delivered and all requirements and needs of the client are met and exceeded.
What You Will Be Doing
Working within this extremely busy and challenging department you will be tasked with:
- Working to set tasks on a daily basis.
- Following instructions surrounding campaign and event finishing requirements.
- Reporting to Finishing Unit Manager.
- Working as a team to achieve daily objectives and to a high standard.
- Following an online work schedule.
- Following the health & safety rules and procedures.
- Communicating effectively and professionally with the rest of the team and departments.
- Occasionally covering print operatives.
You will be busy with the following duties:
- Zund cutting tables – cutting, kiss cutting, routing, etc.
- Laminating – Heated rollers and Rolls Rollers.
- Hand finishing – vinyl wrap mounting, weeding, etc.
- Eyelets and hemming – Finishing of banners/textiles.
- Various manual finishing operations – gluing, assembly, taping, etc.

The Skills and Experience You Need
- Excellent timekeeping and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and observe finishing techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks.
- Organized, capable, friendly, and helpful.
- Stress resistance and ability to work under pressure.
- A stickler for processes, great attention to detail, to ensure right first time.
- Take pride in your work, remaining focused, calm, and motivated.
- Able to report and provide precise information for management on request.
- Health and Safety trained.
- Manual handling will be required.
- Experience operating latex printers beneficial.
This role will be based in our Orpington office Monday to Friday and may require weekend work during peak periods.
