About the Role

We're seeking an experienced and passionate WHAM Supervisor to help bring our productions to life through exceptional wigs, hair and makeup. Working at the heart of our Technical and Production team, you'll lead the delivery of stunning WHAM designs across rehearsals, performances and large-scale productions, collaborating with designers, artists and technical teams to realise creative visions on stage.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with a hands-on approach, strong leadership experience and a commitment to the highest standards of craft, presentation and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of stunning WHAM designs across rehearsals, performances and large-scale productions
  • Collaborate with designers, artists and technical teams to realise creative visions on stage

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years experience supervising large-scale theatre productions, working with external designers to realise their designs for stage.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and manage others, or alone.
  • A hands-on approach to the job combing a wide range of knowledge and experience with a professional attitude.
  • Proven track record of managing teams of WHAM technicians, casuals and freelancers
  • Good working knowledge of the process of wig making and facial making
  • Excellent wig setting and dressing skills
  • Hairdressing and barbering skills
  • Advanced working knowledge of makeup and its applications
  • Proven track record of working to budgets
  • Excellent Word and Excel skills to produce show bibles and for general administration tasks.
  • To have a comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety policy in theatre.
