Wills, Trusts & Estate Planning Executive (Paralegal) – Woking Office

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Wills, Trusts & Estate Planning Executive (Paralegal) to join our expanding Private Client team in Woking. Ideal for someone with proven experience in private client work and confidence in managing their own caseload while supporting a growing legal practice.

This role involves:

  • independently managing simple probate matters
  • assisting on more complex matters in partnership with senior team members
  • progressing files from initial instruction to completion
  • drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
  • attending client meetings and taking precise legal instructions

The position offers professional development within a supportive, collaborative, and progressive team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage caseload independently:

    • Handle straightforward probate matters with minimal supervision
    • Progress files from commencement through to finalisation
  • Client-facing duties:

    • Attend client meetings to take instructions for Wills, LPAs, and related matters
    • Support senior colleagues during meetings as needed
  • Document preparation:

    • Draft Wills, LPAs, and private client documents accurately, efficiently, and to high standards
    • Assist with legally complex cases, focusing on document preparation and maintaining file progression

  • Working alongside senior fee earners:

    • Provide support on high-value private client cases, including probate, estate administration, and trusts
  • Organisation and standards:

    • Maintain rigorous organisational, accuracy, and client care standards
    • Balance competing priorities while demonstrating initiative and problem-solving

Essential Requirements

  • Proof of experience in private client work (mandatory)
  • Previous probate experience, including knowledge of caseload management
  • Competent drafting of Will, LPAs, trusts, and other private client documentation
  • Confidence working directly with clients, including taking instructions and attending meetings
  • Exceptionally organised and able to proactively manage workloads without supervision
