Cable Technician – Onshore Wind Projects (UK)
Celebrating Wind Energy Innovation G2 Recruitment’s Client Seeks: Experienced Cable Technicians for onshore wind farm construction roles across the UK.
Contract Summary
- Length: 4-month starter contract (ongoing opportunities available)
- Rotations: 6:2 work-to-leave pattern preferred (alternative schedules negotiable)
- Work Location: Scotland (onsite site work with remote flexibility where applicable)
About the Role
This hands-on technician position supports electrical cabling installations across onshore wind farm projects in the UK—contributing directly to the renewable energy sector.
Responsibilities include:
- Installing and maintaining electrical cable systems for low/high-voltage (LV, MV, HV) applications
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and engineering specifications for Vestas turbines
- Preparing, twisting, and terminating cables on-site under challenging conditions
- Adhering to project timelines on rotating shifts

Essential Requirements
To qualify you will need:
- Demonstrable experience as a Cable Technician with a track record in renewable energy, particularly with onshore wind farms
- Proven technical knowledge of LV/MV/HV cable systems and related regulatory requirements
- Jointing certification (advantageous) plus hands-on experience in cable termination
- Strong understanding of ATTE andáronj技术 requirements
- Extra value for candidates with: Construction supervision or O&M experience
