About Earthmill Maintenance Earthmill Maintenance is the UK's leading independent provider of service, maintenance, operations and technical support for small and medium-scale wind turbines. With over 800 turbines under management and regional engineering teams operating throughout England, Scotland and Wales, we are continuing to expand our Vestas operations division. Earthmill specialises in Vestas V27, V29, V39, V44, V47 and V52 wind turbines, providing customers with industry-leading technical expertise, responsive support and innovative engineering solutions. Positions Available We are seeking Vestas Wind Turbine Technicians at all levels, including: Trainee Vestas Technician Ideal for candidates with an electrical, mechanical, industrial, armed forces or renewable energy background looking to enter the wind industry. Vestas Wind Turbine Technician Experienced technicians capable of independently carrying out service and maintenance activities on Vestas turbine platforms. Senior Vestas Wind Turbine Technician Highly experienced technicians capable of leading teams, performing advanced diagnostics and supporting major repair projects. Authorising Engineer / Lead Vestas Technician Recognised technical specialists responsible for safe systems of work, technical authority, technician mentoring and complex fault resolution.
The Role Depending on your level of experience, you will be involved in: Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of Vestas wind turbines Mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis High-voltage and low-voltage troubleshooting Gearbox, generator and drive train alignment Blade inspections and blade replacement projects Hub swaps and major component exchanges Nacelle refurbishments Turbine commissioning and recommissioning Condition monitoring and performance analysis Emergency breakdown response Completion of service reports and technical documentation Supporting Earthmill's industry-leading health and safety culture Delivering exceptional customer service to turbine owners and stakeholders Senior and Lead Technicians will additionally: Lead field teams on major projects Mentor and develop junior technicians Produce risk assessments and method statements Support technical investigations Deliver site inductions and safe isolation procedures Act as technical authority for Vestas turbine operations.

Essential Requirements Trainee Technician Mechanical or electrical qualification (or equivalent experience) Positive attitude and willingness to learn Comfortable working at height Full UK driving licence Strong commitment to health and safety Technician Experience working on Vestas wind turbines or similar industrial equipment Electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills Ability to work independently Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems GWO certifications advantageous Senior Technician Extensive experience on Vestas platforms Proven track record of complex fault diagnosis Experience leading field teams Strong understanding of safe isolation and authorisation procedures Excellent communication and customer-facing skills Authorising Engineer / Lead Technician Expert-level knowledge of Vestas turbine operation and maintenance Demonstrable leadership capability Experience preparing RAMS and technical procedures Ability to act as technical authority for major maintenance activities Excellent safety record and professional standards.
