About The Role
Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) is recruiting experienced Window and Door Fitters for a full-time, permanent role covering South Devon and the surrounding area.
This role would suit experienced fitters who take pride in high-quality work and want regular local installation work without overnight stays. You will be working on new build housing developments across the region, with all sites located within approximately two hours of the depot.
Applications are welcome from individual fitters and established fitting pairs who already work well together.
You will be installing a range of windows and doors on residential new build sites across South Devon.
The work is hands-on and would suit someone with experience in glazing, fenestration installation, carpentry, joinery or a similar trade. This role is best suited to fitters who are confident working to a high standard and following site procedures.

Sites are located across areas including Torbay, Newton Abbot, Paignton, Totnes, Kingsbridge and nearby locations. No overnight stays are required.
Duties
As a Window and Door Fitter, your duties will include the following:
- Installing windows and doors on new-build residential developments
- Fitting and finishing installations to a high standard
- Checking alignment, sealing and operation
- Taking measurements and making adjustments where needed
- Installing casement windows, vertical sliding windows, bi-fold doors, sliding patio doors, French doors, sidelights and composite entrance doors
- Using hand tools and power tools safely
- Working closely with your fitting partner and other trades on site
- Keeping your working area clean, organised and safe
- Following site health and safety procedures
- Completing installation records and reporting any issues or defects
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for experienced Window and Door Fitters who can work accurately, safely and professionally.
You Will Need
- Previous experience fitting windows and doors
- Experience working in residential, construction or new-build environments
- A background in glazing, fenestration installation, carpentry, joinery or a similar trade
- The ability to work as part of a two-person installation team
- Good attention to detail
- A full UK driving licence

It Would Also Be Useful If You Had
- NVQ in Fenestration Installation or a related qualification
- Valid CSCS card
Pay and hours
- £17.20 per hour PAYE
- Full-time, permanent position
- Other PAYE payment models may be available
- Local work across South Devon
- No overnight stays required
- Immediate starts available
