Window Fabricator - Braintree - Day Shift - Full Time - £14.00 - £16.00 p/h (DOE)

We are currently recruiting for an Aluminium Window Fabricator to join a well-established architectural manufacturing company based in Braintree. This is a full time, permanent opportunity offering long-term stability, varied fabrication work, and the chance to manufacture high-performance aluminium glazing systems for commercial projects across the UK. This role would suit an experienced Aluminium Window Fabricator, or someone with a strong background in aluminium fabrication.

About The Role

Working within a busy fabrication department, you will be responsible for manufacturing bespoke aluminium windows, doors, curtain walling and glazing systems to exact specifications. As an Aluminium Window Fabricator, you will work from technical drawings and cutting lists, assembling high-quality products using specialist machinery and hand tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricating aluminium windows, doors and glazing systems
  • Reading and working from technical drawings and cutting lists
  • Operating workshop machinery safely and efficiently
  • Using crimping machines, drills, routers and hand tools
  • Assembling frames, glazing components and associated hardware
  • Carrying out quality checks throughout the fabrication process
  • Working to production schedules and project specifications
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
  • Supporting the fabrication team to meet production deadlines

  • Previous experience as an Aluminium Window Fabricator or within aluminium window and door manufacturing
  • Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
  • Experience using hand tools and workshop machinery
  • Strong attention to detail and quality

Desirable (for Top Salary Bracket)

  • Experience with Kawneer, Schüco, Metal Technology or similar aluminium systems
  • Experience using crimping machines

What's On Offer

  • £14.00 - £16.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
  • Full time, permanent position
  • Monday to Friday
  • Multiple shift times available
  • Flexible working hours available by agreement
