Skye Consultants Ltd is a client-focused consultancy supporting small works contractors, main service providers, and telecoms contractors across the UK and internationally on new and ongoing mobile network rollouts. The company combines extensive design and build experience to manage sites from initial concept through construction and integration. Skye Consultants delivers creative, often bespoke solutions that enable sites to progress safely into build and remain operational throughout their lifecycle. As a CELLNEX, MBNL, and WIG approved contractor with AGORA accredited engineers, the team provides services including site surveys, drone and tower climb surveys, CAD drawings, site designs, structural and electrical calculations, and site audits. Skye Consultants operates across the British Isles, including outlying islands, supporting the demanding and fast-paced mobile phone sector.
Role Description
The Wireless Telecoms Design Surveyor is a full-time, on-site role with full UK travel requirements. This role involves carrying out ground-level and rooftop site surveys and tower climb surveys, including access checks, Structural checks, and equipment space evaluations for mobile telecoms installations and upgrades. The surveyor will collect and interpret site data, and support structural and electrical design inputs for new build and upgrade projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with project managers, engineers, and clients, preparing clear survey reports, and ensuring compliance with network, safety, and industry standards. The role will involve travel to sites across Scotland and the wider UK, and requires adherence to safe working practices, especially when working at height or in challenging environments.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of building structures. Role suitable for civil/Structural Engineers, Building Surveyors.
- Experience of working in the telecommunications industry.
- Exposure to and understanding the use of AUTOCAD.
- Computer literate such as Microsoft Office.
- Good level of maths and number skills.
- Proven ability to work and learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to organize work and support others in a timely and effective manner.
- Able to multitask, work independently as well as in a team environment, demonstrating a collaborative approach.
- Full driving license. Our work is UK-wide and this role will require periods of time away from home.
